Forward in Synchronicity Through HIV Prevention Innovation
October 15 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am EDT
Biomedical HIV prevention is advancing rapidly and offers new opportunities to reshape the global HIV epidemic. This dynamic and timely SYNC 2025 plenary session will delve into the latest development in HIV prevention: the twice-yearly injectable lenacapavir (LEN) as PrEP, which is a transformative tool for reducing HIV transmission, particularly among those who face challenges with daily adherence, stigma, or access to health care.
Experienced faculty will first provide a clinical and administrative overview of LEN as PrEP, highlighting considerations for access and implementation. Then PrEP navigators and PrEP patients will come together to discuss synchronizing decision-making that addresses barriers to access and patient-centered approaches to HIV prevention.
