Alejandro Larios is the FOCUS Program Lead at Baptist Health South Florida.
Alejandro holds a bachelor’s in health services administration and certified in leadership studies from Florida International University. Alejandro has helped develop and lead the first opt-out HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV) and syphilis screening program in Florida through the Frontlines of Communities in the United States (FOCUS) program model at Baptist Health of South Florida. Through Alejandro’s numerous years of hospital operations expertise and public health knowledge, he has disseminated this successful model both nationally and internationally, showcased through impactful presentations at conferences and documented in a publication. This model has been recognized by the CDC and Florida Department of Health as best practice for its ability to address multiple health epidemics. Alejandro has worked alongside state public health leadership and hospital leadership in ongoing refinements, enhancements, and replications of the FOCUS program.
