Aniruddha Hazra, MD, is Associate Professor of Medicine University of Chicago, and Medical Director, UCM Sexual Wellness Clinic.
Dr. Hazra’s practice primarily focuses on sexual health and wellness, including LGBTQ health, delivering access to important health information and specialized infectious diseases care.
Dr. Hazra’s unwavering devotion to his clinical practice also fuels his interest in using research to improve care infectious disease patients. His research investigates the impact sexually transmitted infections has on gender and sexual minorities living on the South Side of Chicago to help inform effective treatment and prevention efforts, as well as prioritize sexual health for these populations.
This 90-minute institute provides an update on the current state of the HIV epidemic, key biomedical advances in HIV prevention, and evidence-based approaches to HIV prevention.
This plenary session will feature subject matter experts in each of the five SYNC focus areas to share the current “state of” and future implications in HIV, HCV, STIs, harm reduction and LGBTQ health.
