Karla Obasi, MPH, serves as the Education and Outreach Supervisor with the Dallas County Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) program.
Passionate about public health and committed to making a difference, she is a dedicated professional specializing in HIV & STI prevention. With a background in health education and community outreach, she works tirelessly to raise awareness, promote testing, and combat stigma surrounding HIV. As a firm believer in the power of education, Karla strives to empower communities with the knowledge and resources needed for a healthier future.
Karla received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and her Master of Public Health Degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Dallas County, she has held several roles as an Epidemiology Specialist with CDC Foundation providing support to local health departments during the Covid-19 pandemic, coordinating the HIV outreach program at Denton County Public Health, working as a Disease Intervention Specialist with Texas Department of State Health Services and HIV prevention counselor with the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Opt-Out testing program in Philadelphia.
Karla currently resides in the Dallas, TX area. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling and exploring the world.
