Tom Moore is a public health consultant for the Tobacco Use and Reduction Program (TURP) for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
A native to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, Tom has spent the past 10 years working within the fields of HIV, LGBTQ+ health, and commercial tobacco treatment services.
As a public health consultant, Tom works with AIDS Service Organizations (ASOs), Health Departments, Health Systems, and LGBTQ+ service providers across Michigan to develop equitable, community focused commercial tobacco cessation programs with the goal of increasing quit attempts and improving quality of life for people living with HIV and members of the LGBTQ+ communities.
