Daemon Donigan is Community Project Manager at Washington University in St. Louis.
Daemon's career in Public Health started as a volunteer HIV and STI tester, counselor and PrEP navigator at HeyDenver in center in downtown Denver, CO. He quickly became known as a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people, and people that practice alternative sexualities such as non-monogamy and BDSM. Since then, Daemon has spent over a decade working in HIV and STI Prevention at ASOs, Federally Qualified Health Centers, the Nebraska State Health Department, and now at Washington University in St. Louis. He has made it a personal mission to be an active leader and a voice for Sexual Health Education in the BDSM Community. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ Community as well as Ethically Non-Monogamous, and BDSM Communities, he is all too familiar with the shame and stigma that can create barriers to healthcare for these often-overlooked sexual minority groups. Recently, Daemon has been thrilled to have opportunities helping educate public health workers learn more about these communities and how to better serve their patients that share these identities.
