LaTanya Thomas Patton (she, her) is the Senior Program Manager for the Washington University in St. Louis Capacity Building Assistance Program.
LaTonya is a professional with an extensive service background in corporate and government business experience, with fifteen (15) years in public health. Her interest in HIV actually began on a personal level when she volunteered for the American Red Cross HIV Education Initiative after losing a family member. She has served as the Grants (HRSA, state of Missouri, HOPWA, and Prevention) Administrator in the HIV Services Division at the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department. A three-time mayoral appointment, she has been Planning Council Chair of the KC-TGA. She has worked for an international non-profit and oversaw clinic operations in Haiti in three (3) separate clinics.
