Dr. Jessica Deerin is a Viral Hepatitis Policy Advisor with the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
In this role, she coordinates viral hepatitis activity across the federal government, leading development of the Viral Hepatitis National Strategic Plan and supporting Federal Implementation Plan and Progress Reports. She is also a Project Officer on projects related to viral hepatitis payment, quality measures, linkage to care, and syndemic approaches. She has a PhD in epidemiology from the George Washington University, a MPH in epidemiology from Emory University, and a BS in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida.
