Kelly Flannery (she/they) is Policy Director for Positive Women's Network (PWN).
Kelly is a proud policy nerd with a passion for human rights advocacy and reproductive justice lawyering. Kelly joined the PWN team in 2018 through the If/When/How fellowship program. She has had the privilege of learning from, supporting, and strategizing with PWN members, chapters, and staff as a legal fellow, civic engagement coordinator, and now as policy director.
Prior to PWN Kelly was the New York University School of Law fellow at Human Rights Watch. She focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights in the U.S. and authored a human rights report on barriers to cervical cancer care in Alabama rooted in structural racism in the state’s healthcare and economic systems. Kelly earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her M.A. in philosophy from the New School of Social Research.
