Kristen MacKay (she/her) works at the University of Rochester Center for Community Practice (URCCP) in Rochester, New York as a Senior Health Project Coordinator and the Program Manager for the Promoting LGBTGNC Health Center of Excellence funded by the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute.
Kristen has been working in the fields of HIV/STI prevention, sexual health, and LGBTQ+ health for 25 years, starting in high school as a trained youth HIV educator and continuing on to lead grant-funded health education and supportive services programs at a community-based organization. Kristen holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of New England and is passionate about health literacy, health equity and justice, addressing stigma, promoting LGBTQ+ health, and ending the HIV epidemic.
