Ashley Coleman, LICSW

Ashley Coleman, LICSW is a Supervisory Public Health Analyst within the HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD, Tuberculosis Administration (HAHSTA) at the DC Department of Health.

Ashley Coleman is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with
extensive experience in public health program management and HIV program design. In
her current role at the D.C. Department of Health, she serves as a Supervisory Public
Health Analyst within the HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD, Tuberculosis Administration
(HAHSTA), she focuses on ending the HIV epidemic by enhancing access to healthcare
and addressing social barriers for populations most impacted by the epidemic. Over the
last four years, Ashley has spearheaded the development of the DC Health Black
Women’s Health Initiative. This initiative not only recognizes the unique needs of
cisgender Black women, but creates community partnerships and intervention
opportunities to meet the needs of Black women both at risk and living with HIV. With
over 12 years of specialized experience in Public Health, Clinical Social Work, HIV, and
Healthcare, Ashley’s dedication to improving community health outcomes and
enhancing program implementation underscores her passion and commitment in public
health.
