- A Universal Screening Tool Addressing Social Determinants for HIV Prevention Programs
Social determinants of health (SDOH) are factors that influence health outcomes and must be addressed to make progress towards health equity. To improve health outcomes, HIV prevention programs must integrate supportive services that address SDOH into traditional services. PlaySure Network 2.0 (PSN 2.0) is a New York City Health Department (NYC HD) program that funds providers to provide supportive services to populations disproportionately affected by the HIV epidemic, such as the LGBTQ community. To increase screening for SDOH needs and provision of/linkage to services, the NYC HD developed a universal screening tool for simple and effective integration into programs and services. - The Power of Culture & Collaboration to End the HIV Epidemic (Let’s Stop HIV Together)
This presentation will explore the impact of culture and collaboration on HIV prevention and treatment, highlighting the synergy between these topics. By delving into the intersection of culture and collaboration, we aim to demonstrate how integrating cultural competence and fostering interdisciplinary partnerships can enhance HIV prevention and treatment strategies.
