My Voice Our Stories: How NJ is Ending HIV Through Storytelling
May 31 @ 10:30 am–11:00 am EDT
Live Podcast
Learn how NJ’s novel storytelling project provides important data on HIV prevention and treatment unmet need using a harm reduction lens. Storytelling is as old as humanity, but visionaries like Agosto Boal (theatre of the oppressed) have helped shape everyday practice into a powerful tool. MOTH Storytelling hour and PhotoVoice interventions are two distinct, but related examples of how these methods change lives, add value to public discourse, and broadly advance understandings. Hear details of participant stories, how nuanced characteristics of stories are used to drive public planning, and examples of novel partnerships and collaborations that have been born of this work across NJ.
