- Creating Safe Spaces for Black Women and Their Sexual Experiences
When it comes to HIV, women are often left out of the research, the advertising, and sometimes even the conversation. In this workshop, attendees will unpack the importance of having Black women at the table and create an interactive, safe space to shift the narratives on sex. Join us as we discuss the lack of sex-positive spaces for Black women, how it contributes to the growing number of HIV cases amongst this demographic, and other potential effects.
- Bridging Gaps in Sexual Health Education for Justice-Involved Youth in Dallas County
Acknowledging the unique challenges and systemic impediments faced by justice-involved youth, this project aims to address gaps in current educational frameworks within juvenile justice settings. Strategies include conducting interactive workshops specifically tailored for justice-involved youth aged 13-18, navigating the complex intersections of sexuality and relationships. Through strategic partnerships and interactive dialogues, the project seeks to empower youth with knowledge and skills for informed decision-making, healthy relationships, and sustained sexual well-being.
