Philana Liang graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Biology. She then obtained her MPH in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan. She worked as a Health Educator for the Johns Hopkins University and then attended George Washington University’s Physician Assistant Program as a National Health Corps Scholar. She served at the Baltimore City Health Department’s STD Clinic and the Johns Hopkins HIV Clinic. She now works as a PA for the Washington University Infectious Disease Clinic and is Core Program Manager for the St. Louis STI/HIV Prevention Training Center. Her areas of expertise including Post-Exposure Prophylaxis and Trauma Informed Care. She is also trained as a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner. Her areas of interest also include human trafficking, hepatitis C, and harm reduction for PWID.
