Sam Sheldon is the Manager of the SAGEPositive Program, providing community, supportive, and advocacy services to LGBTQ+ older adults living with HIV in New York City.
In his role with SAGE, Sam has been responsible for shepherding a return to in-person programming after the COVID-19 pandemic, expanding SAGEPositive programmatic offerings to reach the growing number of people over 50 living with HIV, and spearheading SAGE's new Center for Sexual Wellness and Aging. Prior to his work at SAGE, Sam worked at DOROT, coordinating intergenerational programs for the New York City based social services organization, where he developed the agency's first ongoing intergenerational LGBTQ+ workshop series. Sam is excited to connect with colleagues about their work to improve the health outcomes of older adults aging with HIV.
