Stacey Trooskin, MD, is Executive Medical Officer at the Mazzoni Center.
An internist with a specialty in infectious diseases, Dr. Trooskin has a strong interest in public health, particularly the epidemiology of hepatitis C, and identifying and overcoming barriers to testing and treatment. She completed a three-year term of service as a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and Infectious Disease Society of America's HCV treatment guidance panel and currently serves as the Chief Medical Advisor to the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable and as the Medical Director for the Health Federation’s HCV technical assistance program called “C Change.” Dr. Trooskin is widely recognized for her activism and advocacy around issues related to access to HCV testing and treatment, particularly for incarcerated individuals and individuals who use drugs.
Dr. Trooskin received her MPH in Public Health from Yale University, her Ph.D. (Epidemiology) from Rutgers School of Public Health, and her MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine.
